Launch of the “Speaking Up For Myself, Standing Up For Human Rights” Booklet
In April, Mersey Care NHS Trust launched the “Speaking Up For Myself, Standing Up For Human Rights” Booklet. A group of people with learning disabilities wanted to share what they had learned about human rights. They decided that FREDA is a woman and “she is for everybody”. “Her name stands for Fairness, Respect, Equality, Dignity and Autonomy”. Read the FREDA booklet and find out about their personal experiences of human rights and what FREDA says.
